Meet Our Team

Gary V. Ainsworth

Managing Director

Gary’s career in healthcare began in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.  He held various senior management positions in sales, marketing and commercial development with Marion Laboratories, Roche and Baxter. Gary was also the founder, CEO and Managing Partner of a successful Market Access agency (Havas Gemini, LLC) for over twenty years.

  • Gary is also a successful entrepreneur having founded a data-focused market access agency Gemini Healthcare in the wake of the Food and Drug Administration Modernization Act (FDAMA) of 1997 which included Section 114 as a regulatory safe harbor with the goal of increasing the dissemination of health care economic information (HCEI) to those responsible for formulary decision making. The work done by Gemini’s medical informaticists, programmers and clinicians was groundbreaking and set a new standard for aggregating claims/EHR data into disease-specific and patient-centric information and insights that were actionable by payers and providers. The company was sold to Havas Health Inc. in 2015. Gary stayed on as the CEO and Managing Partner of Havas Gemini and produced 6 straight years of revenue growth averaging 24+%/year with solid 20+% operating profits.

    He also funded start-up Oncology Inc. in 2005, which provided HIPAA compliant patient encounter and cancer treatment information from PDA-enabled oncologists and urologists on 100,000+ US patients to pharmaceutical, biotechnology and financial companies. The company was sold to the Aegis Group, owner of Synovate in 2008.

    Finally, Gary’s work for vulnerable populations is very personal, stemming from his own experience as a cancer patient and survivor. His most recent collaboration is Disease Dashboards™ which provides accurate and complete data, information and insights that demonstrate the inequities in disease prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment (including guideline adherence), survivorship, palliative care and clinical research trial involvement for marginalized populations.

    Gary has undergraduate degrees from William Jewell College in both Business Administration and Public Relations and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Rockhurst University.
